Ballet Mini Intensive

Dance Du Coeur is pleased to offer a ballet intensive over the Thanksgiving break with two of Houston’s most prestigious Ballet instructors!

Sat. November 30 and Sun. December 1, 2019

10:00 a.m.—3:30 p.m

Two levels at $200 with Priscilla Nathan-Murphy and Clara Cravey

Includes: Technique class, Pointe, Variations, and Targeted Strengthening

Bring: a lunch, mat, therabands and pointe shoes if you have them.

Two levels: Ballet 4 is for dancers age 10 and up who have had at least four years of ballet Ballet 5 is for dancers 14 and up who have had at least five years of ballet

Priscilla Nathan-Murphy is a former, long-time instructor for the preprofessional and professional programs at Houston Ballet’s Ben Stevenson Academy. She has also been a teaching artist with the Texas Institute for Arts in Education for several years and has held the position of adjunct faculty at the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts for 19 years. Ms. Nathan-Murphy has also conducted numerous master classes and workshops within the United States since 1980.

Clara Cravey

Clara Cravey was the senior instructor and later the Principal at the Houston Ballet Academy under Ben Stevenson OBE for many years. She is highly esteemed in the ballet world, invited to teach master classes at many of the world’s top academies, universities, and ballet companies. She served as President of the National Schools of Dance Academies as well. In 2010-2017, Ms. Cravey became a tenured Professor at the University of Oklahoma where she served as their Associate Director of the School of Dance in the School of Fine Arts.
