Dance Du Coeur to resume in-studio classes June 8 with special COVID 19 Protocols
Dance Du Coeur is opening for summer classes in the studio June 8, 2020!
We are excited to get back to the studio and dance with our students again in person as we have missed them terribly!
Students can sign up for classes online at SugarLandDance.com by clicking on Register and selecting Summer.
All classes are a la carte and purchased individually ($20 for 45-60 minutes and $27 for 90 minutes) or in cost-saving packages of five or ten. To purchase a package, you will enter the following promocodes and be charged accordingly.
(Per our summer policy, classes with fewer than three students are cancelled in advance with email notification. Please check your emails regularly for this information. Cancellations are done on a weekly basis. If you have paid for a class that gets cancelled, please select another class to take in its place and email us with your choice: Info@SugarLandDance.com)

Students who missed classes March 16-27 due to the COVID 19 closure are permitted to make them up this summer (one free class per missed class) by entering the following promocodes at checkout. With these codes, you will not be charged. Please ONLY use these codes for your make up classes. Use the codes above if you are purchasing additional packages.
Makeup—any 45 to 60 class
Makeup90—any 90 min. class
Unfortunately, we have decided not to offer Baby Ballet (ages 2.5-3) this summer due to the challenges of enforcing our COVID 19 protocols with this age group so there are no makeups for missed Baby Ballet classes in March. Please contact the office and we will issue a refund for missed Baby Ballet classes if you are interested.
In an effort to minimize exposure to COVID19 as much as possible we are implementing the following protocols this summer. Although these practices may seem overwhelming, we feel confident that students and parents will adjust to the “new norm” and enjoy their dance experience despite the inconveniences. Watch our video that walks students through the COVID 19 safety protocols so that you can better understand what to expect. Please understand that there is no way we can completely prevent the spread of COVID 19 and there IS risk of exposure in attending dance or any other group or public activity. All parents will be required to sign a liability waiver acknowledging this risk before enrolling their child in any classes. You are asked to read the waiver carefully before signing and to clearly understand the protocols below before signing up for classes. The protocols are mandatory and will be strictly enforced.
· Parents will drop off their child at the front door and return after class or wait on the balcony for their child.
· Students will have their temperature checked and if they have a fever, they will not be permitted entry.
· Students will have their hands sanitized upon entering and will re-sanitize if and after using bathroom.
· Students may not bring dance bags or any items with them other than their dance shoes and their own re-usable water bottle.
· Students must take off street shoes and put on dance shoes in the studio. Please do not wear dance shoes outside.
· Students may wear a mask if desired. Teachers have the option of wearing a mask.
· Water fountain and break rooms are closed. Students are to enter studio, take class, and exit.
· Students will be asked to dance apart from others, making every effort to stay six feet away from other dancers at all times. Place markers will be used for younger dancers and “lanes” created for older dancers (level 1 and up).
· Classes will end ten minutes early to allow time for teachers to safely dismiss dancers and to wipe down surfaces and spray dance floor before next class.
· Classes will be capped at 8 students and Studio C will be capped at 5 students.
· Dancers in Studio C and A will exit the studio from the back door and walk around the balcony to the front. Parents may meet them at the back door.
Dancers in Studio B will exit out the Studio B door onto the front balcony.
Dancers in Studio D will exit out the Studio D back door.
The studios will be sprayed down weekly by a professional disinfecting company and all surfaces will be wiped down at regular intervals throughout the day.
We truly appreciate the support of our parents through this crisis and those of you who have stuck it out with zoom classes as we know that is a less than ideal way to learn and practice dance. We do not know what the future holds but we are taking it one month at a time. We have really missed our dear students and are excited to dance with you again – in person!
