PRE-PRO program accepting applications for 2024-25 season!
Dance Du Coeur’s Pre-Professional Program for ages 10-18 is now accepting applications for the 2024-25 season in Sugar Land.
Interested students are invited to a trial day on Sunday, May 5, at the studio from 9:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost is $75 for trial students.

Female students should wear a black leotard and black tights, and male students should wear black dance pants and a black top. They should also bring ballet shoes.
After an introduction and Q&A, students will take 45 minutes in ballet, variations, modern, progressive ballet technique, contemporary, and jazz.
They will have a 30-minute lunch break and need to bring their lunch.
The pre-pro program is for students who home-school as dance classes are during traditional school hours from 12:00 or 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., M-F.
It runs from Monday, August 19, 2024, through May 2025. The Pre-Pro program strives to produce excellent, well-rounded artists who are in the best possible position to pursue a wide range of dance opportunities in a rapidly evolving arts environment.
Highly versatile, the program offers rigorous ballet and modern classes as well as weekly jazz, contemporary, improvisation, choreography, performance/acting, and Progressive Ballet Technique (PBT). Our dancers are not only highly proficient technicians, they have an acute understanding of movement, style, performance, and the creative process.
Because the program is small, dancers receive individualized attention.
If students do not attend the trial day in March, they must be accepted into the program through a private audition or video submission.
We need a minimum of eight students to hold the pre-program, so we need all accepted students to commit by May 1. A $600 non-refundable deposit is due at that time. The deposit will be applied to the last month of tuition in May 2025.
Tuition for the pre-pro program is $625 a month. A $100 admin fee to cover student conferences and evaluations is also due in December and May.
Company members will pay an extra $50 a month for weeknight rehearsals. In December and May, a $75 admin fee to cover student conferences and evaluations is also due.
Prepro students may rent the studios at no charge during the week (Monday through Friday) before 4:00 p.m.
New pre-pro students, their families, and all other interested people are invited to attend our Pre-Pro showcase on Thursday, May 16 at the studio.
