Margo Smolik
Margo Smolik is a dance artist and teacher in Houston, Texas.
She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from the University of Houston and has performed with The Lockin’ Keez Dance Company, 6 Degrees and Rivkah French Choreography.
Margo has recently joined Open Dance Project and Mezclada Dance Company as an apprentice for their 2024-25 seasons.
Margo’s belief in dance as a powerful form of communication and an agent for meaningful change shapes her own personal pedagogy.
In her role as a teacher, Margo hopes to facilitate students’ discoveries while celebrating dance as an accessible, rewarding practice.
She teaches Creative Movement classes and Intro to Hip Hop at Dance Du Coeur.
