Carol Anglin


Carol Anglin

Carol Smitherman Anglin is a renowned ballet teacher, choreographer and adjudicator, with 40 years of experience. She was the founding Artistic Director of the Louisiana Dance Foundation and resident dance company, Louisiana Dance Theatre.

From 1982-2016, Ms. Anglin directed and produced more than 600 master classes, dance festivals, and performances featuring internationally acclaimed guest artists and professional dance companies.

She has choreographed across the world, and has received numerous choreography awards. She was also awarded the Regional Dance America Stream Award for outstanding artistic direction.

Ms. Anglin received her MFA from University of Oklahoma’s School of Dance in 2019.

Most recently, she has served as a national adjudicator for Regional Dance America and was on the modern faculty for Michigan’s Interlochan Center for the Arts.

Ms. Anglin teaches ballet and Pointe for Pre-Pro.
