Jessie Ferguson

Jessie Ferguson, born and raised in Houston, Texas, holds a BFA in Dance from the George Mason University School of Dance.

She is a 2020 graduate of the Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts.

In 2022, she was selected for the Aimed Dance Emerging Choreographer Fellowship through the Young Artists Program.

Jessie leads a nonprofit organization, BOOT Dance Project, which she founded and directs. This organization is dedicated to creating opportunities for Texas-based dance artists and audiences. BOOT focuses on fostering growth, education, and community through performances, artist development initiatives, and audience engagement programs.

As an educator, Jessie is passionate about nurturing and mentoring young artists to expand both their technical and creative potential. Since 2019, she has taught and choreographed across multiple competitive studios and pre-professional programs throughout Texas—encouraging every dancer to approach their craft with artistry, intention, and authenticity.

Jessie joins the One Beat Company as a director and helps with rehearsals and administrative tasks.
