One Beat Team Hits the Convention Circuit this Fall


Members of Dance Du Coeur’s competition dance team, One Beat, enjoyed success at a number of Fall Conventions last year, including West Coast Dance Explosion, NYCDA, 24/7, and Tremaine. 

West Coast Dance Explosion in Dallas: Khloe Deary won the Mini Genre Elite Scholarship and Gabriella Lara was a scholarship finalist.

NYCDA in HoustonMaya Ordonez placed 6th overall in minis division and won awards for Outstanding Control and   Outstanding Intensity.  Ansley Harris placed 5th overall in minis division. In Junior overalls, Jisselle Garza placed 19th, Ellie Randolph placed 17th, Nina Lykidis placed 15th, Keira Luce placed 7th, and Jada Bryant placed 6th.  In teen overalls, Addison Moddelmog placed 13th and Elizabeth Perry placed 1st overall. Ellie Randolph won scholarships to two intensives.   Outstanding Dancer Runners Up were: Maya OrdonezAva Grace Olsen, Ansley Harris, Jisselle Garza, Jada Bryant, and Sarah Linn.

Tremaine  Austin-  Maya Ordonez placed 1st overall in the Juniors division and won the  MVP Award.

Tremaine Houston—Maya Ordonez placed 4th Overall in Juniors division and won a year long scholarship.

24/7 in San AntonioAnsley Harris placed 8th and Maya Ordonez placed 7th overall in the minis division.  In Junior overalls,  Jada Bryant placed 9th, Emily Elsner placed 8th, and Ellie Randolph placed 7th.  In teen overalls, Sam Nguyen placed 8th, Jacquie Taylor placed 7th, Abby Jansky placed 6th, Addison Moddelmog placed 4th, and Laila McGuire placed 3rd.   Sam Nguyen, Nina Lykidis, and Addison Moddelmog won tap scholarships, Keira Luce won a ballet scholarsip, and Jisselle GarzaOlivia Aguirre, Abby JanksySarah Linn, Sofia Lykidis, and Olivia Sheridan all  won  jazz scholarships. Maya Ordonez, Ansley Harris, Jada Bryant, Ellie RandolphEmily Elsner, Elizabeth Perry, Jacquie Taylor, and Laila McGuire were all named  Non Stop Dancer runners-up.   Laila McGuire also won the Stop the Clock Award for her solo.
