New Sugar Land dance students welcome for spring semester!

Sugar Land dancers on stage floor

The Fort Bend spring dance season brings in a new wave of students each year as fall sports or activities end and kids grow eager to start or resume dance.

Our spring semester started this year on January 2, 2024 and our Dance Du Coeur Sugar Land dance studio is accepting new students through the middle of February.

All students will have an opportunity to participate in the recital on June 1 (except Aerial Silks).

While those who have been in class for a few months have a head-start on technique, it’s not too late for new students to join in the spring, especially if they come to class consistently, focus, and practice at home.

For returning students, it is also important to come to class consistently in the spring because classes will be learning and rehearsing recital dances starting in February.

Making up a class is problematic in the Spring because each class has its own recital dance. Therefore, make-up classes are not recommended in the spring and students are advised to avoid absences. Students not in recital will all still learn the recital dance for their class because learning and memorizing choreography is an important part of dance. Only the last 20 minutes or so of the class will be spent on the recital dance, for technique is always the main emphasis.
